Sharpening knives
As a matter of principle, no knife stays sharp forever. Even the toughest material wears a little over time. A good knife is distinguished by the fact that it stays sharp (and of course at a high level) for as long as possible and can be sharpened quickly and easily.
As experts in knife sharpening, trust us with your worn knives and we’ll sharpen them so they’ll cut like new again.
Sharpen metal knives with a flat surface – a straight blade.
When are knives sharpened?
There is no set rule on when to sharpen the knife. However, it is definitely a good idea to sharpen it when your eyes start to water quickly when cutting onions, as the onions are squeezed and squashed, which squeezes the essential oils out of the onions (the oils are the cause of the tearing). Even if the meat or fish tears rather than cuts at the cutting point, it’s time to sharpen the knife. However, it is a good idea to sharpen your knives before they become completely dull – this also extends their life, as less material is carried away during sharpening than with very dull and damaged knives.
In general, a good quality, sharpened knife with light pressure should achieve optimal cutting.

Pack your knives (pay attention to the blade – wrap it in a piece of cardboard or similar material) in a cardboard parcel, not in a lined envelope, as this could break the knife or injure a postal worker.
Incorrect packaging (picture below): do not pack the knife without a blade guard, nor pack it in a padded envelope.
Correct packaging (picture below): protect the blade of the knife. Cut a piece of cardboard so that it is at least 1 cm longer than the blade and wide enough so that the blade is completely covered when you fold the cardboard. Fold the cardboard and seal it with adhesive tape. Insert the knife into it, and glue the handle and the cardboard so that they are connected. This will keep the protection on the knife.
Pack the knife in a cardboard box lined with crumpled newspaper or paper.
